Broccoli Cheese Cornbread


Broccoli Cheese Cornbread is an easy to whip recipe, yummy in taste and acts as a savory snack or side dish for your entire family.


    Eggs, 4

    1 pack ofsliced frozen broccoli, defrosted and drained

    Cottage cheese, 1 cup

    1 onion, finely chopped

    Butter, melted, 1/2 cup

    1 pack of self-rising cornmeal

    Salt, 1 teaspoon

preparation method

Heat oven to 200 degrees C. Lightly butter a 11 by 7 inch baking pan. Mix together salt and the cornmeal mix in a large sized mixing bowl. In another bowl, beat together butter, onion, cottage cheese and eggs. Add the cheese and egg mix to the flour mix. Roll in the broccoli. Pour this mixture on the oiled pan. Now bake it in the heated oven for at least half an hour or till it has become al dente.
