Chicken Teriyaki

This chicken dish is bound to become a favorite in your house.


    chicken breast/thigh (with bones or boneless) :- 250 gms

    sake :- 2 tbs

    soy sauce :- 4 tbs

    mirin :- 4 tbs

    sugar :- 2 tbs

    Ginger (grated)

    Vegetable oil

Frying pan

preparation method

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

Press the fork to the chicken to even the surface and marinate it in the mixture of ingredients.

Leave it in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Take a frying pan and heat some vegetable oil on medium flame.

Take the chicken out and fry it in the oil. First fry the skin side so that is completely brown.

Turn the chicken for the other side to fry, this time on low heat.

Take the marinate sauce from the bowl and pour it over the frying chicken.

Cover the pan and let the chicken cook properly.

Check if the sauce has become thick. If yes, then stop the heat. If not, put the lid back on and let it simmer till it does become thick.

Once off the heat, slice the chicken well and put it on a plate.

Pour that thick sauce all over it.

You can garnish the dish with some grated ginger.

Serving Suggestions

    Serve hot. You can also use this as a filling for your sandwiches.
