Cucumber Chutney

Cucumber Chutney is a delicious variety of chutney and this recipe is very easy to prepare.


    Green cucumbers (peeled and grated):- 500gm
    Tamarind juice:- ½ cup
    Red chili sauce:- 2 tsp
    Turmeric powder:- A pinch
    Chopped coriander leaves:- 1 cup

    Ingredients for the seasoning

    Oil:- 2 tbsp
    Urad dal (black gram dal):- 1 tsp
    Mustard seeds:- ½ tsp
    Fenugreek seeds:- few
    Asafoetida:- pinch
    Salt:- to taste

In a bowl, combine the chili sauce, tamarind sauce, turmeric powder, chopped coriander, salt and grated cucumber.

Heat oil in a pan and fry all the ingredients of seasoning. Then grind them to prepare a powder.

Add this seasoning to the mixture of cucumber.

Combine all the ingredients together well just before serving.

    Servewith dosa, idli or any type of main course.
