Dal ka Shorba

ingredients

    3 kanda(onion)-sliced

    4 lasan(garlic) cloves- crushed

    ½ tspmirchipowder(chilli powder)

    3 tps curry powder

    1 cup masoor dal- washed

    3 tamatar(tomatos)-cut into big pieces

    3 tbspnarial(coconut)

    1 tbsp oil

    Cream as required

    Salt and lime juice to taste

preparation method

Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté onions

Stir in garlic, chilli powder and curry powder. Fry for a while

Wash masoor dal under running water thoroughly

Pour 4 cups water along with tomatoes and masoor dal. Pressure cook the mixture

remove from cooker and let it cool down for a bit and blend in a food processor

Return back to the saucepan and cook for 15 minutes

Flavor with salt and finish with cream. Remove from fire

Drizzle lemon juice and serve hot
