Green Brown Rice Fish Pulao

ingredients

    200 gms boneless rawas fish fillets, diagonally sliced
    1½ cups brown rice, ¾th cooked
    1 cup green chutney
    ½ tspturmeric powder
    Salt to taste
    2 tbsps lemon juice
    1 medium onion
    1 medium tomato
    1 tspolive oil
    1 inch cinnamon
    3-4 cloves
    ½ tsp coriander seeds
    5 -6 black peppercorns
    1 bay leaf
    2-3 green cardamoms
    7-8 small onions
    7-8 ladyfingers
    3-4 spring onions bulbs
    Few fresh coriander sprigs

preparation method

1. Take fish pieces in a bowl. Add turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice, mix and set aside to marinate.
2. Blend togetheronion and tomatoto a fine puree.
3. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, cloves, coriander seeds, peppercorns, bay leaf and cardamoms and saute for 2 minutes.
4. Add onion-tomato puree, half the green chutney, small onions, ladyfingers and salt and mix well.
5. Place half the marinated fish pieces in the pan and layer with the brown rice on top. Sprinkle some water.
6. Vertically halve spring onion bulbs and add half to the pan. Place the remaining fish pieces and drizzle the remaining green chutney on top. Add the remaining spring onion bulbs on top.
7. Chop coriander and add, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
