250 gms daal and rice mixture( soaked arhar,urad, moong, chana daal )

    1 cup curd

    1 tsp cooking soda?

    ½ tsp red chilli powder

    1 tsp tumeric powder

    ½ lemon juice

    1 diced carrot

    2 tbsp boiled peas

    2 tbsp sugar

    1 tsp salt

    Oil to grease tin


    For tadka :

    4 tbsp oil

    1 dry red chilli

    ½ tsp heeng

    1 tbsp mustard seeds

    1 tbsp till ?

    12-15 curry leaves

preparation method

Mix together soaked arhar, urad, moong and chana daal with rice  and grind them with the help of water. Add curd and mix. Remove mixture in a bowl. Add cooking soda , red chilli powder , turmeric and lemon juice and mix well. Cut a half boiled carrot into dices. Add to the batter. Add boiled peas. Add sugar and salt and mix.

In a greased butter paper lined baking tin pour the mixture.

Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Demount and cut into thick slices.

For tadka ,

Heat oil. Add heeng and mustard seeds and till , red chilli powder and curry leaves.

Pour tempering over the slices and serve.
