Khajoori Laddu


    1 cup Finely Chopped dates

    1 cup  Dry Figs (anjeer),chopped

    1/2 cup milk powder

    2 tbsp milk ( to bind)

    2 tbsp  sugar

    1 tbsp finely chopped pista

    10 pieces Almonds ,blanched,halved--for garnishing

preparation method

Heat a thick bottomed pan on a medium heat, add dates , figs, milk powder , milk and sugar in it and mix till it leaves a pink color and the mixture starts to bind.It may take 10-12 minutes.

Now remove this mixture into a bowl , and set it cool at room temperature,then put it in  the fridge for 1 to 2 hours.

Now, add pista to the set mixture and and mix it again.Divide the mixture into equal sized portions and shape them like a walnut sized balls/laddu’s.

Serving Suggestions

    Decorate each laddu with sliced almonds and serve.
