Finger licking Indian dessert relished by everyone.


    Raw white rice, 75g

    Semi-skimmed milk, 2 liters

    caster sugar, 300g

    cardamom, 4 pods

    rose water, 1/2 teaspoon

    finely chopped almonds, 1 tablespoon

preparation method

Keep the rice in a small sized bowl and soak it in water. Keep it soaked for at least one hour. Now remove the water and place the rice in a large sized, heavy pan and add milk. Keep the pan over low flame. Cover it and let it cook for at least fifty minutes and keep stirring at regular intervals till the mixture becomes tender. Now add cardamom and sugar and heat for another twenty minutes. Take away from flame and sprinkle rose water.

Serving Suggestions

    You can serve it hot or frozen, topped with cashews or almonds
