Leftover Bread Poha


    1. Leftover Bread slices - 2 - 3
    2. Whatever vegetables are found in your fridge – 1 cup (Carrot/capsicum/tomato/peas/)
    3. Onions - 1 - Sliced
    3. Oil - 2 tsp
    4. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    5. Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
    6. Salt - 2 to taste
    7. Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
    8. Peanuts – 8 - 10
    9. Green Chillies – 2 nos.
    10.Coriander powder – 2 tsp.

preparation method

1.Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let it crackle. Add sliced onions.
2.Now add all the vegetables and peanuts except tomatoes to it. Saute for 2 mins and then add all the dry masalas. Saute for another minute. Now add the tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes are soft.
3.Break the bread slices roughly with your hand. Just slightly sprinkle water on them to make them moist.
4.Once the veggies are almost cooked, add bread pieces to them with 2 tablespoons of water and gently mix everything and cover the pan for 1 more minute. Squeeze lemon juice, garnish with coriander and have it hot.
