Madras Onion Chutney

Madras Onion Chutney is very tasty and quick to prepare.

ingredients

     

    Onions (finely chopped) :-3
    Oil :-2 tbsp
    Green chilies (finely chopped) :-3
    Urad dal :-1 tbsp
    Mustard seed :-2 tsp
    Big dried chilies :-2
    Asafetida :-little
    Salt :-To taste
    Tamarind pulp :-To taste

Deep bottomed pan

preparation method

In a deep bottomed pan, heat oil and put mustard seeds, urad dal, dry chilies and  asafoetida.

Mixgreen chiliesand onions. Fry till cooked.

Blend with sugar, coriander leaves, salt and tamarind to prepare a fine paste.

Serving Suggestions

    Serve this chutney with hot idlis or chapati.
