Masala Puris

Masala Puri is a chaat with crunched panipuri shells, tamarind chutney, masala, sev and chopped tomato and onion.

ingredients

    Chaat masala:- 1/4 spoon
    Dry green peas:- 100 gm
    Cilantro:- few
    Garam masala powder:- 1/4 tsp
    Garlic clove:- 1
    Green chili:- 3
    Ginger:- 1/2 inch
    Cumin seeds:- 1/4 tsp
    Panipuri shells:- 25
    Onion (chopped):- 1
    Red chili powder :- 1/4 tsp
    Sev:- 5 tbsp
    Salt:- to taste
    Tamarind:- Lemon size
    Sugar:- to taste
    Tomato (chopped):- 1

preparation method

Soak green peas overnight and then cook well in a pressure cooker with salt. Separate cooked green peas into two equal parts and keep one portion aside.

The other portion of cooked green peas is utilized to prepare the masala.

Grind green chili, garlic, cilantro, ginger and 2nd portion of cooked green peas together to prepare a smooth paste.

Boil the prepared paste with chaat masla and garam masala.

To make Tam-rind chutney: soak lemon-size tamarind for half an hour and then extract thick squeeze.

In this tamarind extract, put sugar, salt, red chili powder and cumin powder. Cook until the raw smell is completely gone.

Crush 6 shells of panipuri and few cooked peas along with masala and half tsp. of tamarind chutney.

Sprinkle little chaat masala and put tomato and onion on top.

Garnish with sev and serve.

Serving Suggestions

    Serve when peas and masala are warm.
