Multi Grain Khichdi

ingredients

    ½ tbsp ghee

    ½ tsp cumin seeds

    ¼ tsp asafoetida

    ½ tsp turmeric powder

    ½ bowl barely (jau)

    ½ bowl bajra

    1 bowl moong dal

    1 large chopped tomato

    1 tbsp grated ginger

    Few coriander leaves

    1 lemon

    2½ - 3 cups water

preparation method

Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and turmeric powder. Sauté them well.

Add soaked barely (jau), bajra and moong. Mix them well.

Add water. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook well.

Once the khichidi is cooked, serve it in a bowl.

Serving Suggestions

    Garnish it with chopped tomato, ginger, coriander leaves and lemon.
