Protien Poha


    2 cup flat rice (poha), soaked
    1 cup boiled chickpeas,(kabuli chane)
    2 onions, chopped,( pyaz)
    1 tsp mustard seeds, (sarson/rai)
    10-12 kadi patte, (curry leaves)
    2 tsp green chillies, finely chopped, (hari mirch)
    1 dried red chilli, (sukhi lal mirch)
    2 tsp garlic, finely chopped,( lehsun)
    2 tbsp lemon juice, (nimbu ka ras)
    4 tbsp roasted peanuts,( moongphalli)
    1 ½ tsp turmeric powder, (haldi,)
    Salt to taste,( namak)
    2 tbsp oil,( tel)
    2 tbsp coriander, chopped, (kata hua dhaniya)

preparation method

Heat oil in a frying pan/wok.
Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, dried red chilli, and garlic and stir fry.
Now add onions, and saute for 2 minutes.Add turmeric powder and salt and sauté for 1 minute.
Now add chickpeas, roasted peanuts and lemon juice and cook for 2 minutes.
Soak the pohas in water, drain the water and add to the pan.
Stir and mix well all the ingredients. Cook for another 2-4 minutes or untill extra moisture evaporates.
Remove the protein poha on a serving plate and garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
