Punjabi Kadhi with Soya Wadi


    1 bowl yoghurt

    1 – 1½ tbsp gram flour

    ¼ tsp turmeric powder

    ¼ tsp red chilli powder

    3 cups water

    salt to taste

    pre cooked soya wadi

    pre cooked jeera rice

    few coriander leaves

    For tampering

    2 tsp ghee

    1 tsp cumin seeds

    ½ tsp methi seeds

    ½ tsp coriander seeds

    few dried red chillies

preparation method

For Khadi

In a bowl, put yogurt, gram flour, water, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Mix all the ingredients well.

For Tempering

Heat oil in a ghee. Add cumin seeds, methi seeds, coriander seeds and dried red chillies and cook it on a slow flame.

Pour the kadhi batter, water and mix well. Let it cook on a slow flame for some time. Add salt and put the soya wadi in the kadhi.

Put pre cooked jeera rice in a bowl and overturn it on a plate.

Put the kadhi in the plate. Lift the bowl gently and add the soya wadi to the plate.

Serving Suggestions

    Garnish with red chilli powder and fresh coriander leaves.
