Sausage Potato Cabbage Salad

A salad which is extremely light and healthy.

The balance of the meat and vegetables adds a nice flavor to the salad.

 

ingredients

    Bulk pork sausage: 1 pound

    Potatoes, peeled and cubed: 3 to 4

    Carrots, sliced thin or diced: 4

    Water: ½ cup

    Salt

    Pepper

    Coarsely chopped cabbage: 6 cups

preparation method

In a sauce pan add the pork sausages. Fry them till they are nicely brown on both sides. Drain off the fat drippings.

To the same pan add the potatoes, carrots, water and stir completely for 10 minutes.

Add the cabbage, pepper and salt and stir the vegetables till they are tender and soft.

Transfer the contents onto a plate and serve with toasted pita bread.

    Serve with toasted bread or pita slices.
