    (ENGLISH)

    Turnips, sliced- 2 medium

    Onion, sliced- 1 medium

    Tomato, chopped- 1 medium

    Green Chili, chopped- 1

    Garlic, minced- ½ tbsp

    Ginger, juliennes- ¼ tbsp

    Jaggery- 1 tbsp

    Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp

    Cumin Powder, roasted- ½ tsp

    Coriander Powder- ½ tsp

    Sunflower Oil- 1½ tbsp

    Salt- to taste

    Coriander Leaves, chopped- to garnish

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    (HINDI)

    Shalgam, kata hua- 2 medium

    Pyaaj, kata hua- 1 medium

    Tamatar, kata hua- 1 medium

    Hari mirch, kati hue- 1

    lehsun, pisa hua- ½ tbsp

    adrak- ¼ tbsp

    Gur- 1 tbsp

    Haldi- ½ tsp

    Jeera, bhuna hua- ½ tsp

    Dhaniya- ½ tsp

    Tel- 1½ tbsp

    Namak- swad anusar

    Dhaniya patta, kata hua- sajawat ke liye             

preparation method

  • Heat oil in a pan and add garlic and ginger.
  • Add green chili and onion to sauté.
  • Season with turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Now add tomato, turnips and mix.
  • Add some water and stir. Blend in jaggery as well.
  • Cook turnips till done. Serve hot with coriander garnish.
