Soya & Matar Gujiya

ingredients

    Dough

    1. All Purpose Flour 250 gms
    2. Suji 50 gms
    3. Ghee 100 gms

    Filling

    1. Oil 3 tbsp
    2. Chopped Ginger 3 inches
    3. Chopped Green Chillies 2 Nos
    4. Asafoetida 1 tsp
    5. Chopped Onion 2 Nos
    6 Soya Chunks – Chopped 200 gms
    7. Green Peas 50 gms
    8 Red Chilli Powder 1 tbsp
    9 Garam Masala 1 tbsp
    10 Coriander Powder 1 tsp
    11 Water As required
    12 Salt To taste

preparation method

Dough

• In a bowl add the all purpose flour, suji and ghee. Mix it uniformly.
• Now add the water and knead the dough.
• Gujiya dough in now ready.

Filling

• Heat oil in a pan; add chopped ginger, green chilies, asafetida and stir on medium flame.
• Now add the chopped onions and sauté till transparent.
• Now add the chopped soya chunks, green peas, red chili powder, garam masala, and coriander powder, water, salt and let it cook.
• Add chopped coriander in your prepared mixture.
• Soya MuttarGujiya Stuffing is ready.
• Roll the dough using a rolling pin in the shape of a roti. Put the stuffing in the center of the dough and fold it in half. Line up the edges with water and using a fork, press the edges to give a pattern and tighten the gujiya.
• The Gujiya is now ready to fry.
