Stuffed Falafel

ingredients

    ½ cup dry kaboolichana(chickpeas)- soaked overnight

    1 tspjeera(cumin seeds)

    ½ tsplalmirch(red chilli) powder

    ½ tsp (4-5 cloves) lasan(garlic)-minced or crushed

    One bunch fresh dhania(coriander)/cilantro leaves- chopped

    1 small kandda(red onion)-chopped finely

    1-2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

    2-3 tbsp plain flour (or crumbs from 2 slices of stale bread)

    Salt to taste

    Oil to deep fry

    For filling

    2 tbsp hung curd

    1 tspdhania(coriander)-chopped

    1 tspharimirch(green chilli)-chopped

    1 tbsp roasted chana powder

    1 tsppudina(mint)-chopped

    Salt to taste

preparation method

Drain the soaked chickpeas on a kitchen towel or leave in a colander with a suspended base. It is important drain out as much as moisture as possible

Transfer the chickpeas with the rest of the ingredients to a food processor

or mixer jar and grind until smooth and dry. Divide the mixture into small portions

Stuff each piece with a tea spoon of the filling mixture.

Shape back into small patties and deep fry on medium heat until dark brown on both sides
