ingredients

    1. Boiled White Chickpeas 1 Cup
    2. Black Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
    3. Urad Dal 1 tsp
    4. Asafoetida A Pinch
    5 Dried Red Chillies 2 Nos
    6 Curry Leaves 10-12 Nos
    7 Fresh Grated Coconut 3 tbsp
    8 Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
    9 Chopped Onions 50 gms
    10 Chopped Tomatoes 50 gms
    11 Lemon Juice 1 Lemon
    12 Cornflakes 50 gms
    13 Salt To Taste

preparation method

• Heat oil in a pan. Add the mustard and urad dal and red chilies. Let the mustard seeds crackle and then immediately add the curry leaves and asafetida. Fry for around 15-20 seconds.
• Now add the boiled chickpeas. Add the grated coconut, red chilli powder, salt, Stir and sauté for 4-5 minutes on a low to medium flame.
• Remove from flame. Add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes and the cornflakes. Top with coriander and lemon juice. Mix well and serve.
