Chinese Honey Noodles

A popular Chinese dessert – the crisp noodles combine well with ice cream to delight your palate


  • Refined flour (maida) 1 cup
  • Honey 3 tbsps
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • Ice cream scoops for serving


  • Take refined flour and salt in a bowl, add ¼ cup water and knead into a firm and smooth dough.
  • Divide the dough into 2 portions. Roll out each portion into a thin sheet, fold and cut into 1 cm thick strips.
  • Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan, slide in the strips, in batches, and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  • Pour honey on top while the noodles are still hot.
  • Put some fried noodles in each serving bowl top with 1 ice cream scoop and serve immediately.
