Fruity Porridge

Even the fussiest child will enjoy this healthy porridge


  • Quick cooking oats 5 tbsps
  • Milk 1½ cups
  • Sugar 2 tbsps
  • Mixed fruit jam 2 tbsps
  • Assorted fruits (apple, banana, pomegranate pearls), chopped 1 cup
  • Mixed nuts 1 tbsps to garnish


  • Heat 1 cup water in a non-stick sauce pan, add oats and cook till half done.
  • Add milk and cook till the oats are fully done and the mixture is slightly thick.
  • Add sugar and jam and mix well.
  • Remove the pan from heat and when the mixture is still slightly warm, add the chopped fruits and mix well.
  • Transfer into serving bowls, garnish with nuts and serve.
