This is a healthy snack that can be enjoyed anytime


  • Pressed rice (poha) 1 cup
  • Roasted split Bengal gram (daalia) ½ cup
  • Cornflakes ½ cup
  • Roasted and peeled peanuts ½ cup
  • Oil 2 tsps
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves 8 to 10
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp


  • Dry roast pressed rice, roast split Bengal gram, cornflakes and peanuts in a non-stick pan on low heat till they are crisp.
  • Heat oil in a small non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder, salt and asafoetida.
  • Add it to the pressed rice mixture and mix well.
  • Transfer into a serving bowl and serve when cooled down to room temperature.
