Serve this to those fussy eaters, and they will definitely love this pumpkin dish


  • Pumpkin dices 2 cups
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Dried red chillies 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Jaggery, grated 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 1 tbsp


  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add fenugreek seeds and cumin seeds and saute till they change colour. Add red chilli and saute.
  • Add pumpkin, salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  • Add ½ cup water and jaggery and mix well. Cover and cook till pumpkin is done.
  • Transfer into a serving dish, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
