Khajoori Laddu

The combined nutrients of dates and figs are very good for growing children


  • Dates (khajoor), finely chopped 1 cup
  • Dry figs (anjeer), chopped 1 cup
  • Milk powder ½ cup
  • Milk 2 tbsps
  • Sugar 2 tbsps
  • Pistachios, finely chopped 1 tbsp
  • Almonds, blanched and halved 10


  • Heat a thick bottomed pan on a medium heat, add dates, figs, milk powder, milk and sugar mix, and cook for 10-12 minutes or till the mixture changes colour and comes together.
  • Transfer the mixture into a bowl, set aside to cool down to room temperature. Then keep it in the refrigerator 1-2 hours.
  • Add pistachios to the set mixture and mix well. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into laddoos.
  • Stick a halved almond on each laddoo, keep them on a serving platter and serve.
