Oats and wheat flour kneaded with spring onions to make delicious paranthas


  • Oats ¼ cup
  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • Spring onions, chopped 4 to 5
  • Green chilli, chopped 1
  • Garlic, finely chopped 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Low fat yogurt 2 tbsps
  • Oil as required


  • Take wheat flour, oats, spring onions, green chilli, garlic, salt, cumin seeds and yogurt in a bowl and mix well. Add sufficient water and knead into a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll them out into paranthas.
  • Heat a non-stick tawa and cook the paranthas, one at a time, flipping and drizzling a little oil till both sides are evenly done.
  • Arrange the paranthas on a serving platter and serve hot.
