Ingredients

  • Pears 4
  • Grape juice 1½ cups
  • Orange rind 2 strips
  • Cinnamon 2 one-inch sticks
  • Icing sugar ⅓ cup
  • Cream cheese ½ cup
  • Hung yogurt ⅓ cup
  • Pistachios, chopped a few

How to Make Poached Pear (Stepwise Photos)

Method

  1. Heat grape juice in a deep non-stick pan, reduce heat add orange rind and cinnamon sticks and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Peel and halve the pears and scoop out the centre of each pear.
  3. Add the pears to the grape juice mixture and continue to cook till the pears soften.
  4. Take icing sugar, cream cheese and hung yogurt in a bowl and mix well.
  5. Take pears out of the grape juice mixture and place them on a serving plate. Transfer the grape juice into a serving bowl.
  6. Fill the scooped center of the pears with the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Sprinkle some pistachios over the pears and serve with the grape juice mixture.
