The roasted oats give these muffins a wonder texture


  • Roasted oats ¼ cup
  • Butter 1 cup + to grease
  • Refined flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Castor sugar 1 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Milk 2 tbsps
  • 2


  • Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease muffin moulds with a little butter.
  • Sieve together refined flour and baking powder into a bowl.
  • Take butter and sugar in a mixing bowl and cream till light fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and cream till the mixture is light. Add vanilla essence and mix.
  • Add flour mixture and fold in till well mixed. Fold in the oats. Add milk and mix well.
  • Grease the moulds or line them with paper cups. Pour the batter into them.
  • Keep them in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove them from the oven, demould, arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
