Sprouts are extremely healthy being high on protein content


  • Mixed sprouts 2 cups
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Ginger, chopped ½ tsp
  • Green chilli, chopped 1
  • Medium onion, chopped 1
  • Red chilli powder ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Medium tomato, chopped 1
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp


  • Heat oil in a non-stick pan, put cumin seeds, ginger and green chilli and saute till cumin seeds change colour.
  • Add onion and saute till it turns translucent.
  • Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add tomato and saute till it softens. Add mixed sprouts, mix and cook till the sprouts soften.
  • Add lemon juice and mix.
  • Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
