Wheat Waffles

Serve these waffles hot and watch your kids finish them off in a jiffy


  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • Gluten free flour 1 cup
  • Soy milk 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking powder ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon powder ¼ tsp
  • Apple sauce 3 tbsps
  • Butter for cooking


  • Take whole wheat flour, gluten free flour, soy milk, egg, salt, baking soda, cinnamon powder and apple sauce in a mixing bowl and mix well. Add ¼ cup water and whisk into a smooth batter. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • Brush waffle iron with butter and pour a ladleful of batter into it. Cover and cook till golden from both sides. Take it off on a serving plate.
  • Use up the rest of the batter similarly.
  • Serve hot with some fresh fruits of your choice.
