Vegetable Claypot

ingredients

    Kidney Beans (Rajma) – 2 cups (soaked overnight and cooked)

    Cheese – 1 cup, grated

    Onions (Pyaaz) – 2 sliced in roundles

    Salt – 1 tsp

    Green Peas (Matar) – 1 cup

    Butter (Makhan) – 2 tbsp

    Oil (Tel) – 2 tsp

    Ground black pepper (Kali Mirch) – 2 tsps

    Carrots (Gajar) – 2, cut in round slices (half – cooked)

    Potato (Aloo) – 2, cut in round slices (half- cooked)

    Step 1- In a fry pan, on medium flame, melt butter in 1 tsp of oil. Place onions to grill them in butter, till they turn slightly brown from both sides. Put aside in a bowl

    Step 2 – Add 1 tsp of oil again, and add rajma, salt, pepper, carrot slices (You may add oregano powder if you want) and peas. Cook and put aside in a bowl.

    Step 3 – In a buttered baking dish, spread vegetables and add onion slices on top. Flatten and arrange potato slices as a top most layer.

    Step 4 – Add grated cheese. Dot with butter all over for baking. Bake for 25 minutes at 200 degrees.
