Methi Puri

Methi puri is a tasty snack which can be enjoyed with any chutney or sauce.


    Wheat flour :- ½ cup
    All purpose flour :- ½ cup
    Red chili powder :- ½ tsp
    Bengal gram flour :- ½ cup
    Hing :- Pinch
    Salt :- To taste
    Turmeric powder :- Pinch
    Oil for deep frying

Wash the methi leaves first and then drain on a colander.

In a bowl, combine all the flours, turmeric, salt, chili powder, methi leaves and hing. Combine well.

Slowly pour water to it and prepare soft dough.

Prepare small balls from this dough and roll out as puri.

Heat oil in a deep bottomed pan and then roll the puris slowly. Allow to cook on each side on medium heat.

Serve hot.

Serving Suggestions

    Serve hot with vegetables, sauce, chutney, curd or pickle.
