Sindhi Teen Daal

Quick and easy to make flavorsome daal, which your entire family can relish.

ingredients

    Channadaal, 1/2 cup

    Moongchilkadaal, 1/4 cup

    Uraddaal, 1/4 cup

    Onion finely cut, 1

    Tomato finely chopped, 1

    Clove garlic minced, 1

    Ginger pounded, 1

    Cumin seeds, 1 tsp

    Coriander powder, 1tsp

    Garam masala, 1 tsp

    Turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp

    Coriander leaves, 2 sprigs

    Lemon juice, 3 tsp

    Vegetable oil, 2 tbsp

First you have to soak daal for a night and then cook it in a pressure cooker and add salt and turmeric.

Keep stirring for at least thirteen minutes. As the daal boils, mix tomatoes, ginger, onions and garlic in a pan and sauté till they become slightly brown.

Now add all the masalas and stir for at least one minute.

Now put this mixture in the cooked daal and sprinkle lime juice.

Sauce it with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.

    Serve hot with roti, rice along with your favorite raita
