|2||Rice flour||2 tbsp, 1 cup|
|3||Red chilli powder||1 tsp|
|5||Cumin seeds||1 tsp|
|6||Carom seeds||1 tsp|
|7||Oil||For deep frying|
|8||Chat masala||For garnishing|
Soak the lotus stem in water for some time, then peel the lotus stem and cut it into thick slices.
Now take 2 tbsp rice flour in a plate and coat the lotus stem with it and add red chilli powder and salt and mix it properly.
Prepare a medium thick batter with rice flour, red chilli powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds , salt and little bit of water.
Now dip the lotus stem in the batter and deep fry it.
Finally garnish it with chat masala and serve hot.
