Oats Khichdi

ingredients

    ¼ cup moong sprouts
    ½ cup boiled mixed vegetables(carrots, French beans and peas)
    1 ½ cup oats
    1 small onion, chopped,( pyaz)
    1 tomato, chopped , (tamatar)
    ½ tsp Mustard seeds,(Sarson/ rai)
    ½ tsp cumin seeds,( jeera)
    3-4 green chillies, chopped (hari mirch)
    ¼ tspTurmeric powder,( haldi)
    3 cups water
    2 tbsp Oil, ( tel)
    Salt to taste,( namak)
    4 Sprigs of mint- to garnish,( pudina ke patte)
    4 tsp clarified butter,( ghee)- to garnish
    4 tsp boiled vegetables- to garnish

preparation method

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds and allow them to crackle for 30 seconds.
Add onions and green chillies and cook till onions become brown.
Add tomatoes and cook for 2 minutes.
Add sprouts and cook for another minute.
Add mixed vegetables,(reserve some for garnish) and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add turmeric powder and salt and cook till the oil separates from the vegetables.
Now add oats and water into the pressure cooker and close the lid.
Cook till 1 whistle come and remove from fire.
The oats kichdi is ready.
Serve hot in a plate garnished with ghee, boiled vegetables and a sprig of mint.

    really its amazing basically im south indian but learning different types of recipes from you all helping me a lot and making me more interests on cooking and im feeling happy in learning different recipes iam craze on this show i dnt know hindi but i can understand cooking realy its good and extraordinary chefs superb superb superb thx a lot
