Southern Fried Cabbage
You are sure to like this unique cabbage delicacy if you are cabbage lover.
Bacon, 7 slices
1 head cabbage, cut and coarsely sliced
White sugar, 1 tablespoon
Pepper and salt to taste
Paper-towel lined plates
Keep the bacon in a skillet and stir over medium to high flame and keep tossing occasionally till it becomes slightly brown. Place a paper towel over a plate, drain the cooked bacon slices.
Mix cabbage in the bacon drippings. till they become well coated. Cover the skillet and stir over medium flame till cabbage becomes al dente. Add salt, sugar, pepper and stir well. Keep cooking keeping the skillet open and stir occasionally till cabbage becomes golden brown from the edges.
You can serve this with crumpled bacon placed on top.
